How a team from Lithuania plans to conquer the world of bowling?

We are a Lithuanian technology company with more than 15 years of experience in precision sensor manufacturing. For over a decade, we have been developing advanced sensor solutions for bird research and wildlife monitoring – products capable of capturing subtle movement with exceptional accuracy and reliability. Working in such a demanding field shaped our expertise in motion tracking, data interpretation, and rapid hardware development.

In 2025, we established a new company dedicated entirely to bowling technology. The idea was born in a simple and personal way: our founder started playing bowling with his son. What began as quality time together quickly turned into fascination. The more they played, the more they realized that bowling is far more technical than it appears. Behind every throw lies biomechanics, timing, rotation, speed, angle, and consistency. It was no longer just a family activity – it became an engineering challenge.

After diving deeper into the mechanics of the game, one question became clear: why isn’t there a simple, accurate way to truly understand your throw? For us as technology enthusiasts, bowling seemed like the perfect test. It is a sport where innovation is difficult – improving something so refined and traditional requires precision and purpose. That challenge motivated us.

From the beginning, we involved bowlers in the development process. Today, we work closely with a team of dedicated players who test the sensor daily. Rapid prototyping, constant iteration, and building the hardware and app side by side allow us to move quickly while maintaining accuracy. Our goal is to bridge the gap between bowling and technology – transforming complex motion data into clear, practical insights that help players improve.

Innovation in bowling is not easy. Yet we also saw strong and consistent interest across the community. Players with 20+ years of experience want deeper technical understanding. Younger bowlers are actively seeking innovation and measurable feedback. Many want to analyze the throw details, and see what they actually did – not just what they felt.

We created an easy-to-install sensor that allows bowlers to see what they feel while throwing the ball. Witsee translates motion into visual, understandable data, helping players replay their throws, explore technical details, and gain confidence through clarity. It connects instinct with insight.
